Last July 16, youth beneficiaries of Special Program for Employment (SPES) program in Abucay underwent a training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and disaster preparedness.
Facilitated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of Abucay, the whole day seminar was held in coordination with PESO, DOLE, and youth development office. They underwent rigid training on emergency response and medical situations more particularly in applying CPR on patients to save lives, first aid, and basic life support training.
Abucay Mayor Robin Tagle who initiated the project explained that it is important that the young people should be trained in how to handle emergency cases. “They should a play vital role in helping the community particularly in times of calamities by getting them involved in some rescue operations,” the mayor said. The post Youths trained on lifesaving technique appeared first on 1Bataan.
